Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स वायुसूनुः कुपितश्चिक्षेप शिखरं गिरेः ।
त्रिशिरास्तच्छरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्बिभेद बहुधा बली ॥६-७०-३४॥
sa vāyusūnuḥ kupitaścikṣepa śikharaṃ gireḥ |
triśirāstaccharairtīkṣṇairbibheda bahudhā balī ॥6-70-34॥
Translation
The enraged son of the Wind (Hanuman) hurled a mountain peak, but the powerful Trishira shattered it into many pieces with his sharp arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन पवनपुत्र (हनुमान जी) ने क्रोधित होकर एक पर्वत शिखर फेंका, किन्तु बलवान त्रिशिरा ने अपने तीखे बाणों से उसके बहुत से टुकड़े कर दिए।
English Commentary
The duel between Hanuman and Trishira is a fantastic display of combat. Trishira's archery was so superior that he could intercept and shatter a mountain peak hurled by Hanuman in mid-air. This proves that Ravana's sons were not just physically powerful but also masters of martial sciences.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान जी और त्रिशिरा के बीच यह द्वंद्व अस्त्र और शस्त्र का अद्भुत मेल है। त्रिशिरा की बाण-विद्या इतनी श्रेष्ठ थी कि वह हनुमान जी द्वारा फेंके गए विशाल पर्वत शिखर को भी हवा में ही काट देता था। यह सिद्ध करता है कि रावण के पुत्र केवल बलवान ही नहीं बल्कि विद्याओं में भी निपुण थे।
