अथ शक्तिं समादाय कालरात्रिमिवान्तकः ।
चिक्षेपानिलपुत्राय त्रिशिरा रावणात्मजः ॥६-७०-३८॥
atha śaktiṃ samādāya kālarātrimivāntakaḥ |
cikṣepānilaputrāya triśirā rāvaṇātmajaḥ ॥6-70-38॥
Translation
Then Trishira, the son of Ravana, took up a 'Shakti' missile that was like the night of destruction (Kalaratri) and hurled it at Hanuman, the son of the Wind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब रावण पुत्र त्रिशिरा ने कालरात्रि के समान भयंकर 'शक्ति' (अस्त्र) उठाई और उसे पवनपुत्र हनुमान जी पर छोड़ दिया।
English Commentary
Trishira employs his most destructive weapon. The comparison to 'Kalaratri' (the night of doom) confirms its lethal nature. This was Trishira's final and most powerful attempt to annihilate Hanuman. The ferocity of the battle has reached its absolute zenith here.

त्रिशिरा ने अपने सबसे विध्वंसक अस्त्र का प्रयोग किया। 'कालरात्रि' की उपमा इस अस्त्र के प्राणघातक होने का प्रमाण है। यह त्रिशिरा का अंतिम और सबसे शक्तिशाली प्रयास था। वह हनुमान जी को समूल नष्ट करना चाहता था। यहाँ युद्ध की भयंकरता अपने चरम बिंदु पर पहुँच गई है।
