खड्गप्रहाराभिहतो हनूमान् मारुतात्मजः ।
आजघान त्रिशिरसं तलेनोरसि वीर्यवान् ॥६-७०-४२॥

khaḍgaprahārābhihato hanūmān mārutātmajaḥ |
ājaghāna triśirasaṃ talenorasi vīryavān ॥6-70-42॥

Translation

Being struck by the sword, the valiant Hanuman, son of the Wind, struck Trishira on the chest with His palm.

हिंदी अनुवाद

तलवार की चोट खाकर वीर पवनपुत्र हनुमान जी ने त्रिशिरा की छाती पर अपनी हथेली से प्रहार किया।

English Commentary

Ignoring the sword wound, Hanuman immediately retaliated. The palm strike ('Tala') illustrates His immense power which required no metallic weapons. This blow was intended to shatter Trishira's breath and his very consciousness.

हिंदी टीका

हनुमान जी ने तलवार के घाव की चिंता नहीं की और तुरंत प्रतिघात किया। 'तलेन' (हथेली) का प्रहार उनके उस प्रचंड बल को दर्शाता है जिसे किसी लोहे के शस्त्र की आवश्यकता नहीं थी। यह प्रहार त्रिशिरा की श्वास और उसकी चेतना को जड़ से हिला देने वाला था।
