गदामादाय सङ्क्रुद्धो मत्तो राक्षसपुङ्गवः ।
हरीन् समभिदुद्राव युगान्ताग्निरिव ज्वलन् ॥६-७०-५४॥
gadāmādāya saṅkrūddho matto rākṣasapuṅgavaḥ |
harīn samabhidudrāva yugāntāgniriva jvalan ॥6-70-54॥
Translation
Seizing that mace, the enraged and frantic Mahaparshva rushed toward the monkeys, blazing like the fire at the end of an eon.

उस गदा को लेकर क्रोधित और उन्मत्त महापार्श्व प्रलय की अग्नि के समान जलते हुए वानरों की ओर तेजी से दौड़ा।
English Commentary
Comparing Mahaparshva to 'Yugantagni' (the fire of cosmic dissolution) confirms his destructive rage. He follows no rules or codes now; he seeks only slaughter. The word 'Mattah' denotes his loss of discernment. This is the form of demonic power that becomes increasingly violent as its end approaches.

महापार्श्व की तुलना 'युगान्ताग्नि' (प्रलय की अग्नि) से करना उसके विनाशकारी क्रोध को पुष्ट करता है। वह अब किसी नियम या मर्यादा को नहीं मान रहा, वह केवल संहार चाहता है। 'मत्तः' शब्द उसके विवेकहीन होने को दर्शाता है। यह आसुरी शक्ति का वह रूप है जो अपने अंत के समय और अधिक हिंसक हो जाता है।
