अभि जग्राह वेगेन गदां तस्य महात्मनः ।
गृहीत्वा तां गदां भीमामाविध्य च पुनः पुनः ॥६-७०-६२॥

He (Rishabha) again seized the mace of that great-bodied demon with great speed. Taking that terrifying mace, he brandished it repeatedly and—

उसने (ऋषभ ने) उस विशालकाय राक्षस की गदा को पुनः बड़े वेग से पकड़ लिया। उस भयंकर गदा को लेकर उन्होंने उसे बार-बार घुमाया और—
English Commentary
Rishabha allowed Mahaparshva no chance to reclaim his mace. Brandishing it ('Avidhya') is a technique to infuse the weapon with massive kinetic energy. Rishabha is now poised to finish the enemy using the enemy's own weapon. This verse highlights his resolve and combat mastery, showing he does not slacken his grip.
हिंदी टीका
ऋषभ ने महापार्श्व को अपनी गदा पुनः प्राप्त करने का अवसर नहीं दिया। गदा को घुमाना (आविध्य) उसमें प्रचंड गतिज ऊर्जा भरने की तकनीक है। ऋषभ अब शत्रु के ही शस्त्र से उसे समाप्त करने के लिए तैयार हैं। यह श्लोक उनके दृढ़ निश्चय और युद्ध-कौशल को दर्शाता है जहाँ वे अपनी पकड़ ढीली नहीं होने देते।
