विस्त्रस्तदन्तनयनो निपपात महीतले ।
सुस्राव रुधिरं सोष्णं गतासुश्च ततोऽभवत् ॥६-७०-७४॥
vistrastadantanayano nipapāta mahītale |
sustrāva rudhiraṃ soṣṇaṃ gatāsuśca tato'bhavat ॥6-70-74॥
Translation
With his teeth and eyes dislodged, he fell to the earth. Warm blood flowed from him, and he then became lifeless.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिसके दांत और आँखें बाहर निकल आई थीं, वह भूमि पर गिर पड़ा। उसके शरीर से गरम रक्त बहने लगा और वह प्राणहीन हो गया।
English Commentary
Unmatta's end was as gruesome as his brother Mahaparshva's. The flowing of 'warm' blood indicates the cessation of his last vital vibrations. This verse depicts the extinguishing of another flame of unrighteousness. Gavaksha's victory bolstered the Vanara pride and reduced another of Lanka's defenders to dust.

उन्मत्त का अंत भी उसके भाई महापार्श्व की भांति ही वीभत्स हुआ। 'सोष्णम्' (गरम) रक्त का बहना उसके जीवन के अंतिम स्पंदन के समाप्त होने का सूचक है। यह श्लोक अधर्म की एक और प्रज्ज्वलित अग्नि के बुझने का चित्रण है। गवाक्ष की विजय ने वानर सेना का गौरव बढ़ाया और लंका के एक और रक्षक को मिट्टी में मिला दिया।
