परिघाग्रेण तान् वृक्षान् बभञ्ज च सुरान्तकः ।
त्रिशिराश्चाङ्गदं वीरमबिदुद्राव सायकैः ॥६-७०-९॥
parighāgreṇa tān vṛkṣān babhañja ca surāntakaḥ |
triśirāścāṅgadaṃ vīramabidudrāva sāyakaīḥ ॥6-70-9॥
Translation
Devantaka too broke those trees with the front part of his iron club, and Trishira rushed toward the heroic Angada with arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
देवान्तक ने भी अपनी परिघ के अगले भाग से उन वृक्षों को तोड़ दिया और त्रिशिरा बाणों के साथ वीर अंगद की ओर दौड़ा।
English Commentary
The Rakshasas are now applying collective pressure on Angada. Devantaka destroys the trees with his club to clear a path for Trishira's assault. This coordination increases the danger for Angada. The epithet 'Surantaka' (slayer of Gods) recalls Devantaka's terrifying history of defeating celestial beings.

राक्षस अब एक साथ मिलकर अंगद पर दबाव बना रहे हैं। देवान्तक परिघ से वृक्षों को नष्ट कर रहा है ताकि त्रिशिरा को आक्रमण का मार्ग मिल सके। यह राक्षसी तालमेल अंगद के लिए संकट बढ़ाने वाला है। 'सुरान्तक' शब्द देवान्तक के उस भयानक अतीत की याद दिलाता है जिसने देवताओं का भी अंत किया था।
