तं ब्रह्मणोऽस्त्रेण नियोज्य चापे शरं सुपुङ्खं यमदूतकल्पम् ।
सौमित्रिरिन्द्राशनितुल्यवेगं तं ससर्ज बाणं युधि वज्रकल्पम् ॥६-७१-१०६॥
taṃ brahmaṇo'streṇa niyojya cāpe śaraṃ supuṅkhaṃ yamadūtakalpam |
saumitririndrāśanitulyavegaṃ taṃ sasarja bāṇaṃ yudhi vajrakalpam ॥6-71-106॥
Translation
Charging that beautiful-feathered arrow, resembling the messenger of Death, with the Brahma weapon, the son of Sumitra released that thunderbolt-like arrow having the speed of Indra's thunderbolt in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ब्रह्मास्त्र से अभिमंत्रित करके, यमराज के दूत के समान, सुंदर पंखों वाले, इन्द्र के वज्र के समान वेग वाले और वज्रतुल्य उस बाण को सुमित्रानंदन ने धनुष पर चढ़ाकर युद्ध में छोड़ दिया।
English Commentary
The final strike. Lakshmana releases the Brahmastra with full power and focus. It is called 'Yamadutakalpam' (like Yama's messenger) because it is destined to take life.

अंतिम प्रहार। लक्ष्मण जी पूरी शक्ति और एकाग्रता से ब्रह्मास्त्र छोड़ते हैं। इसे 'यमदूतकल्पम्' (यमदूत जैसा) कहा गया है क्योंकि यह प्राण हरने के लिए ही जा रहा है।
