ध्वजशृङ्गप्रतिष्ठेन राहुणा ऽभिविराजते ।
सूर्यरश्मिनिभैर्बाणैर्दिशो दश विराजयन् ॥६-७१-१७॥
dhvajaśṛṅgapratiṣṭhena rāhuṇā'bhivirājate |
sūryaraśminibhairbāṇairdiśo daśa virājayan ॥6-71-17॥
Translation
He shines with Rahu established on the peak of his flagstaff, and illuminates the ten directions with arrows resembling sunbeams.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यह ध्वजा के शिखर पर स्थित राहु (चिह्न) से सुशोभित हो रहा है और सूर्य की किरणों के समान (चमकदार) बाणों से दसों दिशाओं को प्रकाशित कर रहा है।
English Commentary
The insignia on Atikaya's flag is Rahu, the eclipse-demon. This symbolism suggests his capacity to eclipse even the brightest foes (like Shri Rama, the Sun dynasty scion). It's a fitting emblem for a warrior of his stature.

अतिकाय की ध्वजा पर 'राहु' का चिह्न है। राहु सूर्य और चंद्रमा को ग्रसने वाला ग्रह है, जो अतिकाय की शक्ति का प्रतीक है—वह बड़े-बड़े योद्धाओं को निगल सकता है। उसके बाण सूर्य की किरणों जैसे हैं।
