वज्रं विष्टम्भितं येन बाणैरिन्द्रस्य धीमतः ।
पाशः सलिलराजस्य रणे प्रतिहतस्तथा ॥६-७१-३४॥
vajraṃ viṣṭambhitaṃ yena bāṇairindrasya dhīmataḥ |
pāśaḥ salilarājasya raṇe pratihatastathā ॥6-71-34॥
Translation
By whom the thunderbolt of the wise Indra was arrested with arrows, and likewise, the noose of the Water-King (Varuna) was countered in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिसने अपने बाणों से बुद्धिमान इन्द्र के वज्र को रोक दिया था और युद्ध में वरुण (सलिलराज) के पाश को भी काट दिया था।
English Commentary
Stopping the unstoppable. Arresting Indra's Vajra and Varuna's Pasha with mere arrows is a feat of god-like skill. This establishes Atikaya as a warrior capable of challenging the supreme deities.
हिंदी टीका
अतिकाय की सर्वोच्च उपलब्धि। उसने इन्द्र के वज्र को रोक दिया ('विष्टम्भितं') और वरुण के पाश को विफल कर दिया। जो योद्धा देवताओं के सबसे शक्तिशाली अस्त्रों को बेकार कर दे, वह कितना शक्तिशाली होगा, यह सोचने का विषय है।
