तं भीमवपुषं दृष्ट्वा रथस्थं रथिनां वरम् ।
अभिपेतुर्महात्मानो ये प्रधाना वनौकसः ॥६-७१-३८॥
taṃ bhīmavapuṣaṃ dṛṣṭvā rathasthaṃ rathināṃ varam |
abhipeturmahātmāno ye pradhānā vanaukasaḥ ॥6-71-38॥
Translation
Seeing that terrible-bodied one seated in his chariot, the best of charioteers, the great-souled ones who were the leaders of the forest-dwellers rushed towards him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस भयानक शरीर वाले, रथ पर बैठे रथियों में श्रेष्ठ (अतिकाय) को देखकर, जो प्रधान (मुख्य) महान वानर थे, वे उसकी ओर दौड़े।
English Commentary
The Vanara commanders respond. Despite his terrifying appearance, the elite leaders ('pradhanah') engage him. This shows the bravery of Shri Rama's generals.

वानर सेनापतियों की प्रतिक्रिया। वे डरे नहीं, बल्कि मुकाबले के लिए आगे आए। कुमुद, द्विविद आदि वीरों ने उसे घेरने का प्रयास किया।
