पूरयन् स महीं शैलानाकाशं सागरं दिशः ।
ज्याशब्दो लक्ष्मणस्योग्रस्त्रासयन् रजनीचरान् ॥६-७१-४८॥
pūrayan sa mahīṃ śailānākāśaṃ sāgaraṃ diśaḥ |
jyāśabdo lakṣmaṇasyograstrāsayanch rajanīcarān ॥6-71-48॥
Translation
Filling the earth, mountains, sky, ocean, and directions, the terrible sound of Lakshmana's bowstring frightened the night-rangers.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पृथ्वी, पर्वतों, आकाश, सागर और दिशाओं को भरता हुआ लक्ष्मण की प्रत्यंचा का वह उग्र शब्द निशाचरों को डराने लगा।
English Commentary
Lakshmana's reply is equally sonic. The twang of his bow ('jya-shabdo') reverberates through the cosmos, signaling that a power equal to Atikaya has arrived. It strikes fear into the Rakshasas.

लक्ष्मण की टंकार। उनकी प्रत्यंचा की आवाज ने पूरे ब्रह्मांड को गुंजा दिया। यह अतिकाय की गर्जना का करारा जवाब था। इससे राक्षस सेना में भय फैल गया।
