अद्य ते मामका बाणास्तप्तकाञ्चनभूषणाः ।
पास्यन्ति रुधिरं गात्राद्बाणशल्यान्तरोत्थितम् ॥६-७१-६२॥
adya te māmakā bāṇāstaptakāñcanabhūṣaṇāḥ |
pāsyanti rudhiraṃ gātrādbāṇaśalyāntarotthitam ॥6-71-62॥
Translation
Today my arrows, adorned with refined gold, will drink the blood gushing from the wounds made by the arrow-points in your body.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आज मेरे तपाए हुए सोने से विभूषित बाण तुम्हारे शरीर में घुसकर (बाण के घाव के छेदों से) निकलने वाले खून को पियेंगे।
English Commentary
Retort in kind. Lakshmana counters Atikaya's bloodthirsty threat with one of his own. His 'mamaka banah' (my arrows) will do the drinking. It's a grim promise of lethal injury.
हिंदी टीका
रक्तपान का जवाब। अतिकाय ने लक्ष्मण का खून पीने की बात कही थी (श्लोक 56), लक्ष्मण उसी भाषा में उत्तर दे रहे हैं। उनके बाण अतिकाय का रक्त पियेंगे।
