लक्ष्मणस्य वचः श्रुत्वा हेतुमत् परमार्थवत् ।
अतिकायः प्रचुकोप बाणं चोत्तममाददे ॥६-७१-६५॥
lakṣmaṇasya vacaḥ śrutvā hetumat paramārthavat |
atikāyaḥ pracukopa bāṇaṃ cottamamādade ॥6-71-65॥
Translation
Hearing Lakshmana's words, which were logical and full of deep meaning, Atikaya became furious and took up an excellent arrow.
हिंदी अनुवाद
लक्ष्मण के तर्कयुक्त (हेतुमत्) और यथार्थ (परमार्थवत्) वचन सुनकर अतिकाय बहुत क्रोधित हुआ और उसने एक उत्तम बाण उठाया।
English Commentary
Truth hurts. Atikaya recognizes the logic ('hetumat') in Lakshmana's speech, which infuriates him further. He responds to the verbal defeat by escalating the physical conflict.

अतिकाय को लक्ष्मण की बातें चुभ गईं क्योंकि वे 'हेतुमत्' (तर्कसंगत) और 'परमार्थवत्' (सत्य) थीं। सत्य कड़वा होता है। गुस्से में उसने हमला करने के लिए उत्तम बाण उठाया।
