स ललाटे शरो मग्नस्तस्य भीमस्य रक्षसः ।
ददृशे शोणिताक्तः पन्नगेन्द्र इवाचले ॥६-७१-७४॥
sa lalāṭe śaro magnastasya bhīmasya rakṣasaḥ |
dadṛśe śoṇitāktaḥ pannagendra ivācale ॥6-71-74॥
Translation
That arrow, sunk in the forehead of that terrible Rakshasa, smeared with blood, looked like a king of serpents on a mountain.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस भयानक राक्षस के ललाट में धँसा हुआ वह खून से सना बाण ऐसा दिख रहा था जैसे पर्वत पर (बैठा हुआ) कोई नागराज (साँप) हो।
English Commentary
Vivid imagery. The arrow protruding from the giant's head is compared to a snake on a mountain. This reinforces Atikaya's size (mountain) and the lethality of the wound.

दृश्य वर्णन। अतिकाय का सिर 'पर्वत' है और लटकता हुआ बाण 'साँप'। खून से सना बाण उसकी भयानक सुंदरता को और बढ़ा रहा था।
