एकं त्रीन् पञ्च सप्तति सायकान् राक्षसर्षभ ।
आददे सन्दधे चापि विचकर्षोत्ससर्ज च ॥६-७१-७८॥
ekaṃ trīn pañca saptati sāyakān rākṣasarṣabhaḥ |
ādade sandadhe cāpi vicakarṣotsasarja ca ॥6-71-78॥
Translation
That bull among demons took up one, three, five, and seven arrows, fixed them on the bow, pulled the string, and released them.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस राक्षस-श्रेष्ठ ने एक, तीन, पांच और सात बाण हाथ में लिए, उन्हें धनुष पर चढ़ाया, (प्रत्यंचा) खींची और छोड़ दिया।
English Commentary
The speed and skill of Atikaya's archery are described here. He progressively increases the number of arrows, demonstrating his 'hastalaghava' (dexterity of hand). The intensity of the battle is now escalating.

अतिकाय की बाण वर्षा की गति और कौशल का वर्णन यहाँ किया गया है। वह क्रमशः बाणों की संख्या बढ़ाता जाता है, जो उसके 'हस्तलाघव' (हाथ की सफाई) को दर्शाता है। युद्ध की तीव्रता अब बढ़ रही है।
