स संधाय महातेजास्तं बाणं महमुत्सृजत् ।
ततः सौमित्रिमायान्तमाजघान स्तनान्तरे ॥६-७१-८२॥
sa saṃdhāya mahātejāstaṃ bāṇaṃ mahamutsṛjat |
tataḥ saumitrimāyāntamājaghāna stanāntare ॥6-71-82॥
Translation
That highly radiant one, fixing that arrow, released it with great force. Then he struck the approaching son of Sumitra (Lakshmana) in the center of his chest.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस महातेजस्वी ने उस बाण को संधान करके बड़े वेग से छोड़ा। तब उसने सामने आते हुए सुमित्रानंदन (लक्ष्मण) को छाती के बीच में मारा।
English Commentary
Atikaya's aim is precise. He strikes Lakshmana in the 'stanantare' (center of the chest/vital spot). This is a critical turn in the duel where Lakshmana sustains an injury.

अतिकाय का निशाना सटीक है। वह लक्ष्मण जी के 'स्तनान्तरे' (छाती के बीच/मर्म स्थान) पर प्रहार करता है। यह युद्ध का एक गंभीर मोड़ है जहाँ लक्ष्मण जी को चोट लगती है।
