तदस्त्रं ज्वलितं घोरं लक्ष्मणः शरमाहितम् ।
अतिकायस्य चिक्षेप कालदण्डमिवान्तकः ॥६-७१-८७॥
tadastraṃ jvalitaṃ ghoraṃ lakṣmaṇaḥ śaramāhitam |
atikāyasya cikṣepa kāladaṇḍamivāntakaḥ ॥6-71-87॥
Translation
Lakshmana hurled that burning, terrible arrow charged with the weapon at Atikaya, just as Death (Yama) hurls his rod of punishment.
हिंदी अनुवाद
लक्ष्मण ने उस जलते हुए घोर अस्त्र (आग्नेय) से युक्त बाण को अतिकाय पर वैसे ही छोड़ा जैसे यमराज कालदण्ड छोड़ते हैं।
English Commentary
Lakshmana's strike is compared to Yama's rod, signifying death. The 'burning' nature of the weapon indicates its destructive potential.

लक्ष्मण जी के प्रहार की तुलना यमराज के दंड से की गई है, जो मृत्यु का सूचक है। अस्त्र का 'ज्वलित' (जलता हुआ) होना उसकी विनाशकारी प्रकृति को दर्शाता है।
