स वध्यमानो बाणौघैरतिकायो महाबलः ।
अवध्यकवचः संख्ये राक्षसो नैव विव्यथे ॥६-७१-९७॥
sa vadhyamāno bāṇaughairatikāyo mahābalaḥ |
avadhyakavacaḥ saṃkhye rākṣaso naiva vivyathe ॥6-71-97॥
Translation
Though being struck by floods of arrows, that mighty Rakshasa Atikaya was not pained at all in the battle because of his indestructible armor.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बाणों के समूह से मारे जाने पर भी, वह महाबली राक्षस अतिकाय युद्ध में अवध्य कवच के कारण तनिक भी व्यथित (पीड़ित) नहीं हुआ।
English Commentary
The secret of Atikaya's invincibility is his 'Avadhya Kavacha' (Indestructible Armor). As long as he wears it, defeating him seems impossible. This situation could be frustrating for Lakshmana.
हिंदी टीका
अतिकाय की अजेयता का रहस्य उसका 'अवध्य कवच' है। जब तक यह कवच है, उसे हराना असंभव प्रतीत होता है। यह स्थिति लक्ष्मण जी के लिए निराशाजनक हो सकती है।
