ते सर्वे निहता युद्धे वानरैः सुमहाबलैः ।
तं न पश्याम्यहं युद्धे यो ऽद्य रामं सलक्ष्मणम् ॥६-७२-९॥
te sarve nihatā yuddhe vānaraiḥ sumahābalaiḥ |
taṃ na paśyāmyahaṃ yuddhe yo 'dya rāmaṃ salakṣmaṇam ॥6-72-9॥
Translation
They have all been slain in battle by the exceedingly powerful Vanaras. I see no one in the conflict today who can (subdue) Shri Rama along with Lakshmana.

वे सभी युद्ध में अत्यंत बलवान वानरों द्वारा मार दिए गए। मैं अब युद्ध में ऐसा कोई भी योद्धा नहीं देख रहा हूँ जो आज लक्ष्मण सहित श्री राम को—
English Commentary
Ravana's despair reaches its peak here. He no longer sees any 'mahabali' (mighty one) in his ranks who can withstand Shri Rama's momentum. Acknowledging the Vanaras as 'sumahabalaih' is a rare admission of their rising strength. This verse marks a significant shift in Lanka's defensive psychology, where the arrogance of invincibility has turned into anxiety for survival.

रावण की हताशा यहाँ अपने शिखर पर है। उसे अपनी सेना में अब कोई ऐसा 'महाबली' दिखाई नहीं दे रहा जो श्री राम का वेग रोक सके। वानरों को 'सुमहाबलैः' कहना उनकी बढ़ती हुई शक्ति की स्वीकारोक्ति है। यह श्लोक लंका के रक्षात्मक मनोविज्ञान में आए बड़े परिवर्तन को दर्शाता है, जहाँ अजेय होने का दम्भ अब अस्तित्व की रक्षा की चिंता में बदल गया है।
