स संप्राप्य महातेजा युद्धभूमिमरिंदमः ।
स्थापयामास रक्षांसि रथं प्रति समन्ततः ॥६-७३-२०॥
sa saṃprāpya mahātejā yuddhabhūmimariṃdamaḥ |
sthāpayāmāsa rakṣāṃsi rathaṃ prati samantataḥ ॥6-73-20॥
Translation
Reaching the battlefield, that highly radiant tamer of enemies stationed the Rakshasas all around his chariot.

उस महातेजस्वी अरिंदम ने युद्धभूमि में पहुँचकर अपने रथ के चारों ओर राक्षसों को तैनात किया।
English Commentary
Tactical deployment. Indrajit secures his perimeter ('sthapayamasa rakshamsi') to create a safe zone for the ritual he is about to perform. This shows he relies on magic as much as might.
