स हविर्लाजसस्कारैः माल्यगन्धपुरःसरैः ।
जुहुवे पावकं दीप्तं राक्षसेन्द्रः प्रतापवान् ॥६-७३-२२॥
sa havirlājasaskāraiḥ mālyagandhapuraḥsaraiḥ |
juhuve pāvakaṃ dīptaṃ rākṣasendraḥ pratāpavān ॥6-73-22॥
Translation
That powerful Lord of Rakshasas offered oblations into the blazing fire with sacrificial offerings, parched grain, garlands, and scents.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस प्रतापी राक्षसेन्द्र (इन्द्रजित) ने हवि, लाजा (खील), माला और गंध आदि उपचारों से प्रदीप्त अग्नि में हवन किया।
English Commentary
Details of the offering. Using 'laja' (parched grain) and flowers suggests a formal, perhaps even auspicious, ritual setup, contrasting with the dark intent.
