ततस्तु राजानमुदीक्ष्य दीनं शोकार्णवे सम्परिपुप्लुवानम् ।
रथर्षभो राक्षसराजसूनुस्तमिन्द्रजिद्वाक्यमिदं बभाषे ॥६-७३-३॥
tatastu rājānamudīkṣya dīnaṃ śokārṇave samparipupluvānam |
ratharṣabho rākṣasarājasūnustamindrajidvākyamidaṃ babhāṣe ॥6-73-3॥
Translation
Then, seeing the King miserable and drowning in an ocean of grief, Indrajit, the son of the Rakshasa King and best of charioteers, spoke these words to him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब राजा को दीन और शोक के सागर में डूबा हुआ देखकर, रथियों में श्रेष्ठ राक्षसराजपुत्र इन्द्रजित ने उनसे यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Indrajit steps up as the pillar of strength. Seeing his father drowning in grief ('shokarnave'), he intervenes. As the 'Ratharshabha' (bull among charioteers), he represents the last and greatest hope for Lanka. His address aims to pull Ravana out of his depression.

इन्द्रजित का प्रवेश। वह देखता है कि उसका पिता 'शोकार्णवे' (शोक के समुद्र) में डूब रहा है। एक योग्य पुत्र और योद्धा के रूप में, वह पिता को सांत्वना देने और स्थिति को संभालने के लिए आगे आता है। 'रथर्षभः' (श्रेष्ठ रथी) विशेषण उसकी क्षमता को दर्शाता है।
