ते शक्रजिद्बाणविदीर्णदेहा मायाहता विह्वलमूढचित्ताः ।
रणे निपेतुर्हरयोऽद्रिकल्पा यथेन्द्रवज्राभिहता नगेन्द्राः ॥६-७३-५५॥
te śakrajidbāṇavidīrṇadehā māyāhatā vihvalamūḍhacittāḥ |
raṇe nipeturharayo'drikalpā yathendravajrābhihatā nagendrāḥ ॥6-73-55॥
Translation
With bodies torn by Indrajit's arrows, struck by magic, distressed and bewildered, the mountain-like monkeys fell in battle like great mountains struck by Indra's thunderbolt.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इन्द्रजित के बाणों से विदीर्ण शरीर वाले, माया से आहत और विह्वल तथा मूढ़ चित्त वाले पर्वत समान वानर युद्ध में वैसे गिर पड़े जैसे इन्द्र के वज्र से मारे गए बड़े पहाड़।
English Commentary
Collapse of giants. The magic ('maya') combined with arrows proves too much even for the strongest Vanaras.
