सप्तषष्टिर्हताः कोट्यो वानराणां तरस्विनाम् ।
अह्नः पञ्चमशेषेणः वल्लभेन स्वयम्भुवः ॥६-७४-१२॥
saptaṣaṣṭirhatāḥ koṭyo vānarāṇāṃ tarasvinām |
ahnaḥ pañcamaśeṣeṇaḥ vallabhena svayambhuvaḥ ॥6-74-12॥
Translation
By the beloved of the Self-born (Indrajit), sixty-seven crore swift monkeys were struck down while a fifth part of the day still remained.
हिंदी अनुवाद
स्वयंभू (ब्रह्मा) के प्रिय (इन्द्रजीत) द्वारा दिन के पांचवें भाग शेष रहने पर ही सड़सठ (67) करोड़ वेगवान वानर मारे (अचेत किए) गए थे।
English Commentary
The scale of destruction is unimaginable—670 million casualties. This is a testament to the power of the Brahmastra.
