अदहत् पावकस्तत्र जज्वाल च पुनःपुनः ।
सारवन्ति महार्हाणि गम्भीरगुणवन्ति च ॥६-७५-१८॥
adahat pāvakastatra jajvāla ca punaḥpunaḥ |
sāravanti mahārhāṇi gambhīraguṇavanti ca ॥6-75-18॥
Translation
The fire there kept blazing again and again, consuming those substantial, highly valuable, and sturdily built structures and objects.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहाँ अग्नि बार-बार प्रज्वलित होकर उन सारयुक्त, बहुमूल्य और गम्भीर गुणों वाली (मजबूत) वस्तुओं और भवनों को जला रही थी।
English Commentary
The fire's repeated blazing indicates its irresistible force. Even 'Saaravanti' (sturdy/substantial) buildings could not withstand that intense heat. This verse conveys that physical strength cannot stand against the power of Dharma. When divine justice arrives in the form of fire, even the strongest walls are reduced to ash.
हिंदी टीका
अग्नि का 'पुनः पुनः' जलना उसकी अजेयता को दर्शाता है। 'सारवन्ति' (मजबूत) भवन भी उस प्रचंड ताप के सामने नहीं टिक सके। यह श्लोक यह संदेश देता है कि भौतिक मजबूती धर्म की शक्ति के सामने टिक नहीं सकती। जब परमात्मा का न्याय अग्नि बनकर आता है, तो बड़ी से बड़ी दीवारें भी राख हो जाती हैं।
