यतो हतः कुम्भकर्णः कुमाराश्च निषूदिताः ।
नेदानीमुपनिर्हारं रावणो दातुमर्हति ॥६-७५-२॥
yato hataḥ kumbhakarṇaḥ kumārāśca niṣūditāḥ |
nedānīmupanirhāraṃ rāvaṇo dātumarhati ॥6-75-2॥
Translation
Since Kumbhakarna has been killed and the princes have been destroyed, Ravana is no longer in a position to offer any settlement or find a way out.
हिंदी अनुवाद
चूँकि कुम्भकर्ण मारा गया है और रावण के राजकुमार भी संहार को प्राप्त हुए हैं, इसलिए अब रावण सुलह या बचाव का कोई प्रस्ताव देने योग्य नहीं रह गया है।
English Commentary
Sugriva provides a precise analysis of the depletion of Lanka's military strength. The fall of warriors like Kumbhakarna and Atikaya had broken the backbone of Ravana's power. The term 'Upanirharam' suggests that the enemy is no longer in a position to negotiate or escape. This reflects a stage in the righteous war where unrighteousness is completely cornered and on the verge of total annihilation.

सुग्रीव जी यहाँ लंका की सैन्य शक्ति के क्षरण का सटीक विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं। कुम्भकर्ण और अतिकाय जैसे योद्धाओं के पतन ने रावण की शक्ति की कमर तोड़ दी थी। 'उपनिर्हारम्' शब्द यहाँ अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है, जिसका अर्थ है कि अब शत्रु के पास संधि करने या पीछे हटने का कोई विकल्प नहीं बचा है। यह धर्म-युद्ध की उस स्थिति को बताता है जहाँ अधर्म अब पूरी तरह घिर चुका है और विनाश के कगार पर है।
