नादितान्यचला भानि वेश्मान्यग्निर्ददाह सः ।
ज्वलनेन परीतानि तोरणानि चकाशिरे ॥६-७५-२१॥
nāditānyacalā bhāni veśmānyagnirdadāha saḥ |
jvalanena parītāni toraṇāni cakāśire ॥6-75-21॥
Translation
The fire burned those resounding and mountain-like brilliant houses. The grand gateways, surrounded by flames, were shining intensely.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन शब्द करने वाले और पर्वत के समान चमकते हुए घरों को अग्नि ने जला दिया। अग्नि से घिरे हुए वे भव्य द्वार (तोरण) अत्यंत प्रकाशित हो रहे थे।
English Commentary
The fire lent a terrifying radiance to Lanka's beauty. The 'Torana' (gateways), symbols of welcome, were now ablaze with the fire of destruction. Describing the houses as 'Acala' (immovable/mountain-like) highlights their structural strength, which the Vanaras' fire nonetheless dissolved. This scene depicts the final, glowing moments of the Golden City as it was being sacrificed.

अग्नि ने लंका की सुन्दरता को एक भयानक चमक प्रदान की। 'तोरण' जो स्वागत के प्रतीक होते हैं, आज विनाश की अग्नि से प्रज्वलित थे। घरों को 'अचल' (पर्वत) के समान कहना उनकी दृढ़ता को दर्शाता है, जिसे वानरों की अग्नि ने पिघला दिया। यह दृश्य उस स्वर्ण नगरी के अंतिम दीप्तिमान क्षणों का चित्रण है जो अपनी आहुति दे रही थी।
