सहसा ऽभ्युत्पतन्ति स्म हरयो ऽथ युयुत्सवः ।
उद्घुष्टं वानराणां च राक्षसानां च निस्वनः ॥६-७५-३२॥
sahasā 'bhyutpatanti sma harayo 'tha yuyutsavaḥ |
udghuṣṭaṃ vānarāṇāṃ ca rākṣasānāṃ ca nisvanaḥ ॥6-75-32॥
Translation
Then the Vanaras, eager for battle, suddenly pounced upon them. The victory-shouts of the monkeys and the cries of the Rakshasas—

तब युद्ध के अभिलाषी वानर अचानक उन पर टूट पड़े। वानरों का विजय-घोष और राक्षसों का करुण स्वर—
English Commentary
The Vanaras did not spare even the retreating enemies. The word 'Yuyutsavah' (desirous of war) shows their enthusiasm. A confluence of two opposing sounds occurs here—the 'Udghushtam' (triumphal roar) of the monkeys and the 'Nisvanah' (piteous wailing) of the Rakshasas. It depicts the sound of Truth rising and Falsehood setting.

वानरों ने भागते हुए शत्रुओं को भी नहीं छोड़ा। 'युयुत्सवः' (युद्ध की इच्छा रखने वाले) शब्द उनके उत्साह को दर्शाता है। यहाँ दो विपरीत ध्वनियों का संगम है—वानरों का 'उद्घुष्टम्' (गर्जना) और राक्षसों का 'निस्वनः' (आर्तनाद)। यह सत्य के उदय और असत्य के अस्त होने की ध्वनि का चित्रण है।
