ततो ऽस्तं गत आदित्ये रौद्रे तस्मिन्निशामुखे ।
लङ्कामभिमुखाः सोल्का जग्मुस्ते प्लवगर्षभाः ॥६-७५-४॥
tato 'staṃ gata āditye raudre tasminniśāmukhe |
laṅkāmabhimukhāḥ solkā jagmuste plavagarṣabhāḥ ॥6-75-4॥
Translation
Then, as the sun set and that fierce twilight set in, those excellent monkeys marched toward Lanka, carrying flaming torches.

फिर सूर्य के अस्त होने पर, उस भयंकर गोधूलि वेला में, वे श्रेष्ठ वानर हाथों में मशालें लेकर लंका की ओर चल दिए।
English Commentary
While the night is traditionally a time of strength for Rakshasas, the Vanaras chose that very time to strike, proving their courage. The 'Nishamukha' (onset of night) symbolizes the beginning of the end for Lanka. The light of the torches against the darkness represents the unwavering resolve of the Vanara army as they march to incinerate the darkness of unrighteousness with fire.
हिंदी टीका
रात्रि का समय राक्षसों के लिए बलदायक होता है, किन्तु वानरों ने उसी समय को अपने आक्रमण के लिए चुना। यह उनके साहस का प्रमाण है। 'निशामुख' (रात्रि का आरम्भ) यहाँ विनाश की शुरुआत का प्रतीक है। अंधकार में मशालों का प्रकाश वानर सेना के अडिग संकल्प को दर्शाता है, जो अधर्म के अंधकार को अग्नि से भस्म करने जा रहे हैं।
