उल्काहस्तैर्हरिगणैः सर्वतः समभिद्रुताः ।
आरक्षस्था विरूपाक्षाः सहसा विप्रदुद्रुवुः ॥६-७५-५॥
ulkāhastairharigaṇaiḥ sarvataḥ samabhidrutāḥ |
ārakṣasthā virūpākṣāḥ sahasā vipradudruvuḥ ॥6-75-5॥
Translation
Seeing the hosts of monkeys with torches in hand attacking from all sides, the fierce-eyed Rakshasas stationed on guard duty suddenly fled in all directions.

हाथों में मशालें लिए हुए वानरों के समूहों को सब ओर से आक्रमण करते देख, पहरे पर तैनात विकराल आँखों वाले राक्षस अचानक वहाँ से भाग खड़े हुए।
English Commentary
The collapse of the enemy's defensive line demonstrates the psychological impact of the Vanara assault. The guards of Lanka, who were accustomed to instilling fear, now found themselves fleeing ('Vipradudruvuh') upon seeing the torch-bearers. This verse proves that when Truth strikes with organized force, even the guardians of unrighteousness are forced to abandon their posts.

शत्रु की रक्षा पंक्ति का यह बिखराव वानरों के मनोवैज्ञानिक प्रभाव को दर्शाता है। लंका के रक्षक जो सदा दूसरों को डराते थे, आज स्वयं मशालधारियों को देखकर 'विप्रदुद्रुवुः' (भाग जाना) की स्थिति में आ गए। यह श्लोक सिद्ध करता है कि जब सत्य संगठित होकर प्रहार करता है, तो अधर्म के पहरेदार भी अपनी जगह छोड़ने पर विवश हो जाते हैं।
