Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सन्नाहो राक्षसेन्द्राणां तुमुलः समपद्यत ।
तेषां सन्नह्यमानानां सिंहनादं च कुर्वताम् ॥६-७५-४०॥
sannāho rākṣasendrāṇāṃ tumulaḥ samapadyata |
teṣāṃ sannahyamānānāṃ siṃhanādaṃ ca kurvatām ॥6-75-40॥
Translation
A tumultuous preparation for battle broke out among the Rakshasa chiefs. While putting on their armor, they also uttered lion-like roars.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षस प्रमुखों के बीच युद्ध की तैयारी का भारी शोर होने लगा। वे वीर गर्जना करते हुए कवच आदि धारण करने लगे।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's arrows compelled the Rakshasas to emerge and fight. The 'Sannaha' (preparation) reflects their desperation and final attempt at self-preservation. Their lion-like roars were now merely a means to mask their inner fear. This verse depicts the initial tremors of a new and fierce phase of the battle.

श्री राम के बाणों ने राक्षसों को विवश कर दिया कि वे बाहर निकलकर युद्ध करें। 'सन्नाहः' (युद्ध की तैयारी) यहाँ उनकी हताशा और आत्मरक्षा के अंतिम प्रयास को दर्शाता है। उनकी 'सिंहनाद' (गर्जना) अब भय को छिपाने का एक साधन मात्र रह गई थी। यह श्लोक युद्ध के एक नए और भीषण चरण की आरम्भिक हलचल को चित्रित करता है।
