निर्ययुः कौम्भकर्णिभ्यां सह रावणशासनात् ।
शशास चैव तान् सर्वान् राक्षसान् सुमहाबलान् ॥६-७५-४७॥
niryayuḥ kaumbhakarṇibhyāṃ saha rāvaṇaśāsanāt |
śāśāsa caiva tān sarvān rākṣasān sumahābalān ॥6-75-47॥
Translation
They marched out with the sons of Kumbhakarna by Ravana's command. He then instructed all those very powerful Rakshasas—

रावण की आज्ञा से वे कुम्भकर्ण के पुत्रों के साथ बाहर निकले। रावण ने उन सभी महाबली राक्षसों को आदेश दिया—
English Commentary
Ravana still maintains firm control over his troops. The mention of 'Kaumbhakarnibhyam' (sons of Kumbhakarna) invokes the legacy of their father's prowess. Ravana views them as his last hope. His command was not just for war, but to salvage Lanka's prestige, setting the stage for a brutal nocturnal conflict.
