तयोराभरणस्था च बलयोर्द्यामभासयन् ।
चन्द्राभा भूषणाभा च गृहाणां ज्वलतां च भा ॥६-७५-५१॥
tayorābharaṇasthā ca balayordyāmabhāsa yan |
candrābhā bhūṣaṇābhā ca gṛhāṇāṃ jvalatāṃ ca bhā ॥6-75-51॥
Translation
The luster from the ornaments of both armies, the light of the moon, the gleam of jewels, and the brilliance of the burning houses illuminated the sky.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दोनों सेनाओं के आभूषणों की कांति, चंद्रमा का प्रकाश, गहनों की चमक और जलते हुए घरों की अग्नि ने आकाश को जगमगा दिया।
English Commentary
Destruction and opulence merge here into a single illumination. While the fire of the burning houses signaled death, the gleam of ornaments recalled past glory. This verse captures the visual paradox—on one hand, creation (mansions, jewels) is burning, while its radiance illuminates the night. It depicts the final light of Lanka.

विनाश और वैभव यहाँ एक ही प्रकाश में विलीन हो रहे हैं। जलते हुए घरों की अग्नि जहाँ मृत्यु का सूचक थी, वहीं आभूषणों की चमक पुराने गौरव की। यह श्लोक दृश्य के विरोधाभास को पकड़ता है—एक ओर सृजन (महल, गहने) जल रहा है और दूसरी ओर उसका तेज रात्रि को प्रकाशित कर रहा है। यह लंका के अंतिम प्रकाश का चित्रण है।
