हरिराक्षससैन्यानि भ्राजयामास सर्वतः ।
तत्र चोर्ध्वं प्रदीप्तानां गृहाणां सागरः पुनः ॥६-७५-५२॥
harirākṣasasaīnyāni bhrājayāmāsa sarvataḥ |
tatra cordhvaṃ pradīptānāṃ gṛhāṇāṃ sāgaraḥ punaḥ ॥6-75-52॥
Translation
All these illuminated the armies of the monkeys and the Rakshasas from all sides. Moreover, the reflection of the burning lofty houses fell into the ocean—

इन सबने वानरों और राक्षसों की सेनाओं को सब ओर से प्रकाशित कर दिया। वहाँ जलते हुए ऊंचे घरों का प्रतिबिम्ब पुनः समुद्र में—
English Commentary
This web of light made every warrior on the battlefield clearly visible. The reflection in the ocean doubled the perceived gravity of the destruction. Lanka was burning, and the ocean too seemed filled with fire. This verse proves that the punishment for unrighteousness is not confined to one spot; its impact affects the entire environment.
हिंदी टीका
प्रकाश का यह जाल रणभूमि के हर योद्धा को स्पष्ट दिखा रहा था। समुद्र में प्रतिबिम्ब का होना विनाश की गम्भीरता को दोगुना कर देता है। लंका जल रही थी और समुद्र भी मानो अग्नि से भर गया था। यह श्लोक यह सिद्ध करता है कि अधर्म का दंड केवल एक स्थान तक सीमित नहीं रहता, उसका प्रभाव सम्पूर्ण परिवेश पर पड़ता है।
