तत्रोन्मत्ता इवोत्पेतुर्हरयो ऽथ युयुत्सवः ।
तरुशैलैरभिघ्नन्तो मुष्टिभिश्च निशाचरान् ॥६-७५-६१॥
tatronmattā iva utpeturharayo 'tha yuyutsavaḥ |
taruśailaīrabhighnanto muṣṭibhiśca niśācarān ॥6-75-61॥
Translation
There, the Vanaras, eager for combat, leaped up like madmen and began striking the night-stalkers with trees, rocks, and fists.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहाँ युद्ध के अभिलाषी वानर पागलों (उन्मत्त) की तरह उछल पड़े और वृक्षों, पर्वतों तथा मुक्कों से राक्षसों पर प्रहार करने लगे।
English Commentary
The Vanaras being 'Unmatta' (frenzied or charged) reflects their irrepressible passion for battle. When a warrior abandons the care for his life, he fights in this manner. Trees and stones were their natural armaments. The battle had now shifted from strategy to a raw clash of physical force and resolve.

वानरों का 'उन्मत्त' (पागल या आवेशित) होना उनके अदम्य युद्ध-जुनून को दर्शाता है। जब योद्धा अपनी जान की परवाह छोड़ देता है, तो वह इसी प्रकार लड़ता है। वृक्ष और पत्थर उनके प्राकृतिक आयुध थे। यह युद्ध अब तकनीक से हटकर केवल शारीरिक बल और संकल्प की भिड़ंत बन गया था।
