तथैवापततां तेषां कपीनामसिभिः शितैः ।
शिरांसि सहसा जह्नू राक्षसा भीमदर्शनाः ॥६-७५-६२॥
tathaivāpatatāṃ teṣāṃ kapīnāmasibhiḥ śitaiḥ |
śirāṃsi sahasā jahrū rākṣasā bhīmadarśanāḥ ॥6-75-62॥
Translation
Similarly, those terrifying Rakshasas suddenly severed the heads of the attacking monkeys with their sharp swords.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसी प्रकार, आक्रमण करते हुए उन वानरों के सिरों को उन भयंकर राक्षसों ने अपनी तीखी तलवारों से अचानक काट दिया।
English Commentary
The Rakshasas' retaliation was equally fierce. The use of 'Asibhih' (swords) proved fatal for the Vanaras. This verse illustrates the brutality of war where one side uses raw force and the other sharp weaponry. Slaughter was occurring on both sides, which is the stark reality of a great conflict.
हिंदी टीका
राक्षसों का प्रतिघात भी अत्यंत भीषण था। 'असिभिः' (तलवारों) का प्रयोग वानरों के लिए घातक सिद्ध हो रहा था। यह श्लोक युद्ध की उस क्रूरता को दर्शाता है जहाँ एक पक्ष बल का प्रयोग कर रहा है तो दूसरा तीक्ष्ण शस्त्रों का। संहार दोनों ओर से हो रहा था, जो महासंग्श्री राम की वास्तविकता है।
