देहीत्यन्यो ददात्यन्यो ददामीत्यपरः पुनः ।
किं क्लेशयसि तिष्ठेति तत्रान्योन्यं बभाषिरे ॥६-७५-६७॥
dehītyanyo dadātyanyo dadāmītyaparaḥ punaḥ |
kiṃ kleśayasi tiṣṭheti tatrānyonyaṃ babhāṣire ॥6-75-67॥
Translation
One would say 'Give (a blow)', another would say 'I am giving', and another 'Why do you trouble me? Stand still!'—thus they spoke to each other.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहाँ योद्धा एक-दूसरे से कह रहे थे— 'प्रहार करो', 'मैं देता हूँ', 'तू क्यों कष्ट देता है, खड़ा रह'—इस प्रकार वे आपस में बातें कर रहे थे।
English Commentary
The dialogues of the battlefield are captured here. This 'Battle-talk' enhances the vividness of the scene. Phrases like 'Why do you trouble me?' show their fearless attitude toward death. The interaction between the warriors reveals their agitation and the sheer madness of the conflict.
