तस्यांसफलके खड्गं निजघान ततो ऽङ्गदः ।
यज्ञोपवीतवच्चैनं चिच्छेद कपिकुञ्जरः ॥६-७६-१०॥
tasyāṃsaphalake khaḍgaṃ nijaghāna tato 'ṅgadaḥ |
yajñopavītavaccainaṃ ciccheda kapikuñjaraḥ ॥6-76-10॥
Translation
Then Angada, the foremost among monkeys, struck that sword on the demon's shoulder-blade and cut him diagonally, like a sacrificial thread (Yajnopavita).
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब वानर श्रेष्ठ अंगद ने वह तलवार उस राक्षस के कंधे की हड्डी (कन्धा) पर मारी और उसे जज्ञोपवीत (जनेऊ) की तरह तिरछा काट दिया।
English Commentary
This verse provides a precise description of Angada's strike. The analogy 'Yajnopavitavat' indicates a diagonal cut from the shoulder to the hip. The blow was so powerful that the Rakshasa had no chance of survival. Angada, the 'elephant among monkeys,' avenged his earlier injuries by ending the foe with his own weapon.

यहाँ अंगद जी द्वारा किए गए प्रहार का अत्यंत सटीक वर्णन है। 'जज्ञोपवीतवत्' उपमा यह बताती है कि उन्होंने कंधे से लेकर कमर तक तिरछा काटा। यह प्रहार इतना प्रचंड था कि राक्षस के बचने की कोई संभावना नहीं रही। 'कपिकुञ्जर' अंगद ने यहाँ शत्रु के ही शस्त्र से उसका अंत करके अपने अपमान का प्रतिशोध लिया।
