तयोर्मध्ये कपिश्रेष्ठः शोणिताक्षप्रजङ्घयोः ।
विशाखयोर्मध्यगतः पूर्णचन्द्र इवाभवत् ॥६-७६-१४॥
tayormadhye kapiśreṣṭhaḥ śoṇitākṣaprajaṅghayoḥ |
viśākhayormadhyagataḥ pūrṇacandra ivābhavat ॥6-76-14॥
Translation
Standing between Shonitaksha and Prajangha, the best of monkeys, Angada, looked like the full moon positioned between the two stars of the Vishakha constellation.

शोणिताक्ष और प्रजंघ के मध्य खड़े वानर श्रेष्ठ अंगद ऐसे लग रहे थे, मानो विशाखा नक्षत्र के दो तारों के बीच स्थित पूर्ण चंद्रमा हो।

The two primary stars of the Vishakha constellation symbolize the two Rakshasas, while Angada shines like the full moon between them in all his glory and strength. महर्षि वाल्मीकि जी ने यहाँ एक अत्यंत सुंदर खगोलीय उपमा का प्रयोग किया है। विशाखा नक्षत्र के दो मुख्य तारे दो राक्षसों के प्रतीक हैं और उनके बीच अंगद जी अपनी पूर्ण कांति और बल के साथ चंद्रमा के समान सुशोभित हो रहे हैं। यह उपमा संहार के बीच भी एक दिव्य और शांत सौंदर्य को प्रस्तुत करती है, जो अंगद जी के राजसी और सात्विक स्वरूप को पुष्ट करती है।
