तं दृष्ट्वा पतितं भूमौ खड्गमुत्पलसन्निभम् ।
मुष्टिं संवर्तयामास वज्रकल्पं महाबलः ॥६-७६-२४॥
taṃ dṛṣṭvā patitaṃ bhūmau khaḍgamutpalasannibham |
muṣṭiṃ saṃvartayāmāsa vajrakalpaṃ mahābalaḥ ॥6-76-24॥
Translation
Seeing the sword, which had the luster of a blue lotus, fallen on the ground, the mighty one (Prajangha) clenched his thunderbolt-like fist.
हिंदी अनुवाद
नील कमल के समान कांति वाली उस तलवार को भूमि पर गिरा देख, महाबली (प्रजंघ) ने अपनी वज्र के समान मुट्ठी बांधी।
English Commentary
The beauty of the sword ('Utpala-sannibham') and its lethal power are mentioned. After losing his weapon, Prajangha did not panic but prepared for hand-to-hand combat by clenching his 'Vajra-like' fist. This signifies the rigidity of his demonic body. The fight was about to become even more physical and violent.

तलवार की सुन्दरता (उत्पल-सन्निभम्) और उसकी घातक शक्ति का यहाँ वर्णन है। शस्त्र खोने के बाद प्रजंघ डरा नहीं, बल्कि उसने 'मल्ल-युद्ध' के लिए अपनी मुट्ठी तैयार की। 'वज्रकल्पम्' मुष्टि उसकी राक्षसी देह की कठोरता को सूचित करती है। अब यह युद्ध और अधिक शारीरिक और हिंसक होने वाला था।
