स सञ्ज्ञां प्राप्य तेजस्वी वालिपुत्रः प्रतापवान् ।
प्रजङ्घस्य शिरः कायात् खड्गेनापातयत् क्षितौ ॥६-७६-२६॥
sa sañjñāṃ prāpya tejasvī vāliputraḥ pratāpavān |
prajaṅghasya śiraḥ kāyāt khaḍgenāpātayat kṣitau ॥6-76-26॥
Translation
Upon regaining consciousness, the radiant and illustrious Angada, son of Vali, severed Prajangha's head from his body with the sword and cast it to the ground.
हिंदी अनुवाद
चेतना प्राप्त करते ही तेजस्वी और प्रतापी वालिपुत्र अंगद ने (उसी) तलवार से प्रजंघ का सिर उसके शरीर से अलग कर भूमि पर गिरा दिया।
English Commentary
Angada's retaliation was definitive. He used the very sword that Prajangha had dropped. The decapitation of Prajangha marked the end of his hubris and demonic power. Angada proved here that he is not only superior in physical strength but also skilled in turning the enemy's own weapon into their doom.
हिंदी टीका
अंगद जी का प्रतिशोध निर्णायक था। उन्होंने उसी तलवार का प्रयोग किया जिसे प्रजंघ ने गिराया था। प्रजंघ का सिर धड़ से अलग होना उसके अहंकार और आसुरी शक्ति का अंत था। अंगद जी ने यहाँ सिद्ध कर दिया कि वे न केवल शारीरिक बल में श्रेष्ठ हैं, बल्कि शत्रु के शस्त्र को ही उसका काल बनाने में भी निपुण हैं।
