गृहीतं भ्रातरं दृष्ट्वा शोणिताक्षो महाबलः ।
आजघान गदाग्रेण वक्षसि द्विविदं ततः ॥६-७६-२९॥
gṛhītaṃ bhrātaraṃ dṛṣṭvā śoṇitākṣo mahābalaḥ |
ājaghāna gadāgreṇa vakṣasi dvividaṃ tataḥ ॥6-76-29॥
Translation
Seeing his brother (Yupaksha) captured, the mighty Shonitaksha struck Dvivida on the chest with the front of his mace.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपने भाई (यूपाक्ष) को पकड़ा हुआ देख, महाबली शोणिताक्ष ने गदा के अग्रभाग से द्विविद की छाती पर प्रहार किया।
English Commentary
Shonitaksha steps forward to save his brother. A strike with the tip of the mace ('Gadagrena') is extremely sharp and painful. This verse highlights the aspect of war where a warrior risks himself to protect an ally. The mutual coordination among the Rakshasas posed a significant challenge to the Vanaras.

शोणिताक्ष यहाँ अपने भाई को बचाने के लिए आगे आया। 'गदाग्रेण' (गदा की नोक) से किया गया प्रहार अत्यंत तीव्र और पीड़ादायक होता है। यह श्लोक युद्ध के उस पक्ष को दिखाता है जहाँ एक योद्धा अपने साथी की रक्षा के लिए स्वयं को संकट में डाल देता है। राक्षसों के बीच का यह आपसी सहयोग वानरों के लिए एक चुनौती था।
