तौ शोणिताक्षयूपाक्षौ प्लवङ्गाभ्यां तरस्विनौ ।
चक्रुतुः समरे तीव्रमाकर्षोत्पाटनं भृशम् ॥६-७६-३२॥
tau śoṇitākṣayūpākṣau plavaṅgābhyāṃ tarasvinau |
cakrutuḥ samare tīvramākarṣotpāṭanaṃ bhṛṣam ॥6-76-32॥
Translation
Those two swift Rakshasas (Shonitaksha and Yupaksha) engaged in an intense struggle of pulling and throwing each other down with those two monkeys in the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन दोनों वेगवान राक्षसों (शोणिताक्ष और यूपाक्ष) ने युद्ध में उन दोनों वानरों के साथ एक-दूसरे को खींचने और पटकने का अत्यंत तीव्र संघर्ष किया।
English Commentary
This is the climax of hand-to-hand wrestling. The terms 'Akarsha-utpatanam' (pulling and uprooting/slamming) reveal the physical brutality of the fight. Brute strength and body maneuvers have replaced weapons here. Both sides are exerting their maximum energy to subdue the other.

यह मल्ल-युद्ध (कुश्ती) का चरमोत्कर्ष है। 'आकर्ष-उत्पाटनम्' (खींचना और उखाड़ना/पटकना) शब्द युद्ध की भौतिक कठोरता को प्रकट करते हैं। यहाँ शस्त्रों का स्थान अब बाहुबल और शारीरिक दांव-पेंचों ने ले लिया था। दोनों पक्ष एक-दूसरे को नीचा दिखाने के लिए अपनी पूरी ऊर्जा लगा रहे थे।
