द्विविदः शोणिताक्षं तु विददार नखैर्मुखे ।
निष्पिपेष च वगेन क्षितावाविध्य वीर्यवान् ॥६-७६-३३॥
dvividaḥ śoṇitākṣaṃ tu vidadāra nakhaīrmukhe |
niṣpīpeṣa ca vagena kṣitāvāvidhya vīryavān ॥6-76-33॥
Translation
The valiant Dvivida tore Shonitaksha's face with his nails and, brandishing him with speed, crushed him against the ground.

वीर्यवान द्विविद ने अपने नाखूनों से शोणिताक्ष का मुख फाड़ दिया और उसे बड़े वेग से घुमाकर भूमि पर कुचल डाला।
English Commentary
Dvivida's final move was cataclysmic. Using nails ('Nakhaih') is a primal and effective martial art of the Vanaras. The word 'Nishpipesa' (crushed/pulverized) denotes the complete annihilation of the foe. The end of a powerful Rakshasa like Shonitaksha confirms the dominance of the Vanara forces.

द्विविद का अंत प्रलयंकारी था। नाखूनों (नखैः) का प्रयोग वानरों की हिंसक और प्रभावी युद्ध कला है। 'निष्पिपेष' (कुचल देना) शब्द शत्रु के पूर्ण विनाश को सूचित करता है। शोणिताक्ष जैसे बलवान राक्षस का इस प्रकार अंत होना वानर सेना के वर्चस्व की पुष्टि करता है।
