हतप्रवीरा व्यथिता राक्षसेन्द्रचमूस्तदा ।
जगामाभिमुखी सा तु कुम्भकर्णसुतो यतः ॥६-७६-३५॥
hatapravīrā vyathitā rākṣasendracamūstadā |
jagāmābhimukhī sā tu kumbhakarṇasuto yataḥ ॥6-76-35॥
Translation
Seeing their principal heroes slain, the Rakshasa army was deeply distressed and fled toward where the son of Kumbhakarna (Kumbha) was stationed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपने मुख्य वीरों के मारे जाने पर वह राक्षस सेना अत्यंत व्यथित हो गई और वह उस ओर भागी, जहाँ कुम्भकर्ण का पुत्र (कुम्भ) खड़ा था।
English Commentary
The death of commanders shatters an army's morale. The Rakshasas' distress indicates the fear of defeat pervading them. They seek refuge with Kumbha, the exceedingly valiant son of Kumbhakarna. The leadership now shifts to another titan, presenting a fresh and formidable challenge to the Vanara forces.

सेनापति की मृत्यु सेना के मनोबल को तोड़ देती है। राक्षसों का 'व्यथित' होना उनके भीतर व्याप्त पराजय के भय को दर्शाता है। वे अब कुम्भ के पास शरण लेने जा रहे हैं, जो कुम्भकर्ण का अत्यंत पराक्रमी पुत्र है। यहाँ से युद्ध का नेतृत्व एक और महाबली के हाथों में जाने वाला है, जो वानर सेना के लिए एक नई चुनौती होगी।
