Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तां शिलां तु प्रचिक्षेप राक्षसाय महाबलः ।
बिभेद तां शिलां कुम्भः प्रसन्नैः पञ्चभिः शरैः ॥६-७६-४३॥
tāṃ śilāṃ tu pracikṣepa rākṣasāya mahābalaḥ |
bibheda tāṃ śilāṃ kumbhaḥ prasannaiḥ pañcabhibh śaraīḥ ॥6-76-43॥
Translation
The mighty Mainda hurled that rock at the Rakshasa, but Kumbha shattered it with five clear (sharp) arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महाबली मैन्द ने वह शिला उस राक्षस पर फेंकी, किन्तु कुम्भ ने अपने पाँच निर्मल (तीखे) बाणों से उस शिला के टुकड़े कर दिए।
English Commentary
Kumbha's missile proficiency is proven again. Shattering a rock in mid-air with five arrows reveals his extraordinary coordination and power. Mainda's physical force was failing against Kumbha's technical superiority. This scene heightens the escalating tension of the combat.

कुम्भ की अस्त्र-विद्या यहाँ पुनः सिद्ध होती है। पाँच बाणों से शिला को हवा में ही नष्ट कर देना उसके अद्भुत तालमेल और शक्ति को प्रकट करता है। मैन्द का शारीरिक बल कुम्भ की तकनीकी श्रेष्ठता के सामने विफल हो रहा था। यह दृश्य युद्ध के बढ़ते हुए तनाव को दर्शाता है।
