सो ऽङ्गदं विविधैर्बाणैः कुम्भो विव्याध वीर्यवान् ।
अकुण्ठधारैर्निशितैस्तीक्ष्णैः कनकभूषणैः ॥६-७६-४८॥
so 'ṅgadaṃ vividhairbāṇaiḥ kumbho vivyādha vīryavān |
akuṇṭhadhārairniśitaistīkṣṇaiḥ kanakabhūṣaṇaiḥ ॥6-76-48॥
Translation
The valiant Kumbha pierced Angada with various kinds of sharp, gold-adorned arrows possessing unblunted edges.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस वीर्यवान कुम्भ ने अंगद को सुवर्ण से अलंकृत, कभी न मुड़ने वाली धार वाले और अत्यंत तीखे अनेक प्रकार के बाणों से बेध दिया।
English Commentary
The quality of Kumbha's weapons is described here. The 'unblunted edges' ('Akunthadharaih') were capable of piercing any armor. The golden decorations ('Kanaka-bhushanaih') testify to their royal origin. Angada remains steadfast in his path amidst this fierce storm of missiles, marking the peak of his heroism.

कुम्भ के अस्त्रों की गुणवत्ता यहाँ वर्णित है। 'अकुण्ठधारैः' (तेज धार वाले) बाण किसी भी कवच को भेदने में सक्षम थे। सुवर्ण के आभूषण (कनक-भूषण) उनके राजसी अस्त्र होने का प्रमाण हैं। अंगद जी यहाँ भीषण अस्त्र-वर्षा के बीच अपने मार्ग पर अडिग हैं, जो उनकी 'वीरता' की पराकाष्ठा है।
