अभिपेतुः सुसङ्क्रुद्धाः कुम्भमुद्यतकार्मुकम् ।
ततो द्रुमशिलाहस्ताः कोपसंरक्तलोचनाः ॥६-७६-५९॥
abhipe tuḥ susaṅkruddhāḥ kumbhamudyatakārmukam |
tato drumaśilāhastāḥ kopasaṃraktalocanāḥ ॥6-76-59॥
Translation
Becoming exceedingly enraged, they rushed at Kumbha, who stood with his bow raised. Holding trees and rocks, and with eyes reddened by anger, those monkeys—

अत्यंत क्रोधित होकर, हाथों में धनुष उठाए हुए कुम्भ पर टूट पड़े। हाथों में वृक्ष और शिलाएं लिए हुए और क्रोध से लाल नेत्रों वाले वे वानर—
English Commentary
The Vanaras' 'reddened eyes' show their blazing fire of retribution. Kumbha's bow remained raised, symbolizing his constant readiness. This collective assault aimed to surround Kumbha from all sides. The Vanara warriors were desperate to avenge the humiliation of their prince.
हिंदी टीका
वानरों का 'कोप-संरक्त-लोचनाः' (क्रोध से लाल आँखें) होना उनकी प्रतिशोध की अग्नि को दर्शाता है। कुम्भ का धनुष अभी भी उठा हुआ था, जो उसकी निरंतर तत्परता का प्रतीक है। यह सामूहिक आक्रमण कुम्भ को चारों ओर से घेरने के लिए था। यहाँ वानर वीर अपने युवराज के अपमान का बदला लेने के लिए व्याकुल थे।
