रिरक्षिषन्तो ऽभ्यपतन्नङ्गदं वानरर्षभाः ।
जाम्बवांश्च सुषेणश्च वेगदर्शी च वानरः ॥६-७६-६०॥
rirakṣiṣanto 'bhyapatannaṅgadaṃ vānararṣabhāḥ |
jāmbavāṃśca suṣeṇaśca vegadarśī ca vānaraḥ ॥6-76-60॥
Translation
Desirous of protecting Angada, those excellent monkeys—Jambavan, Sushena, and the monkey Vegadarshi—leaped forward (at the enemy).
हिंदी अनुवाद
अंगद की रक्षा की इच्छा रखने वाले वे वानर श्रेष्ठ जाम्बवान, सुषेण और वेगदर्शी वानर (शत्रु पर) झपट पड़े।
English Commentary
The senior warriors of the Vanara army are mentioned here. The combination of Jambavan (wisdom), Sushena (healing and strength), and Vegadarshi (speed) was devastating for Kumbha. The word 'Rirakshishantah' (desiring to protect) reveals the deep emotional and military bonds between them. They were risking their lives to rescue Angada.
